I understand I may see a Nurse Practitioner.  Who are the Nurse Practitioners?


Our professional staff includes four New York State certified and licensed Nurse Practitioners. All of our nurse practitioners are highly experienced in the provision of health care services for women. Our NP providers are:

Kathryn L. Haugh, M.S., N.P.
Sheryl L. Silberman, M.S., N.P.
Katherine K. Schwarz, MS, NP


Kathryn K. Haugh, M.S., N.P. received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Buffalo and her master's degree in women's health care from the University of Rochester. She is certified in New York state as a nurse practitioner in women's health. Ms. Haugh is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has held a number of nursing and nurse practitioner positions in women's health in the Rochester area over the last fifteen years.

Sheryl L. Silberman, M.S., N.P. received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Rochester. She is certified in New York state as a nurse practitioner in women's health. Ms. Silberman hold professional membership in a number of organizations, including the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, the Association of Community and Migrant Health Center Nurses, National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Reproductive Health, the Genessee Valley Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. With over twenty years experience in women's health, Ms. Silberman has held a number of nursing, nurse practitioner and nurse manager positions in the Rochester area.

Katherine K. Schwarz, M.S., N.P.
Ms. Schwarz received her bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and her master's degree from the University of Rochester. She is certified in New York State as a nurse practitioner in women's health. Ms. Schwarz serves as Adjunct Faculty at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, and is a member of the North American Menopause Society.


What are the policies for scheduling appointments?


Office visits are available by appointment only. If there is an immediate problem and your health care provider is not available, an appointment can be made with another physician or nurse practitioner. Please bring your current insurance card to every appointment.

We request that you give us 24 hours notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS WITHOUT 24 HOURS NOTICE.

If you have an urgent problem before 8:30 AM or after 5:00 PM, please call or answering service at 258-1919. One of our physicians is on call 24 hours per day and will return your call as soon as possible. We ask that you save requests for lab results, prescription renewals, appointments and routine questions for our usual office hours in order to preserve this service for urgent problems.
